The Buhl Foundation, founded by Henry M. Buhl, has maintained dual mission purposes: the acquisition, preservation and presentation through exhibitions of the Buhl Collection of hand art and the funding of programs to help those in need including the homeless, the less privileged and the under served, particularly in urban America. Our philanthropic passions are education, homelessness and the arts. We engage on a personal level with those students, homeless men and women and artists we serve and support – to embolden, empower and bring to life the spirit of those waiting to be enlivened through compassion and caring.
Our mission: To maintain and exhibit the Buhl Collection as well as to improve the lives of people in local communities by providing programs and services to homeless adults, underprivileged students and aspiring artists.
